OnSpot 012With Onspot, the automatic tyre chain, you need not worry about slippery winter roads. Onspot offers the user an easily accessible automatic tyre chain. |
The new OnSpot 012 has primarily been produced for air suspensioned vehicles with low tyre profiles. The automatic tyre chain is activated by a single flick of the switch in the driver’s cab, giving you direct grip on the road, no matter whether you are braking or accelerating.
OnSpot can be activated at speeds of up to 50 km/h – comfortably and effectively. OnSpot minimises tyre wear, downtime and the risk of accidents.
OnSpot, the original product, is available for most makes of vehicles, both lorries and buses.
OnSpot – the automatic tyre chain
OnSpot is activated by a single flick of the switch in the driver’s cab without having to stop the vehicle. The tyre chain operates when driving forwards or reversing and when braking. The switch on the dashboard extends the arms and the chain wheels are pressed to the sides of the drive wheels. The chain wheels then begin to rotate and the chains are flung under the wheels. The design ensures that there is always one chain under the drive wheel when you stop when OnSpot is activated. The system is deactivated by flicking the switch while driving. OnSpot can be used and operated at speeds of up to 50 km/h. The new OnSpot 012 means it is even possible to fit it on vehicles with low tyre profiles.
Plug-and-Drive reduces fitting time
OnSpot is fitted on both sides of the vehicle’s drive axle. Individually designed mountings provide a stable connection. Plug-and-Drive, a new, completely sealed valve case halves fitting time. The arms are self-adjusting and this means that the chain wheel pressure against the tyre walls is always correct and fitting time is reduced.
Time is money – weight is money!
Downtime for fitting snow chains or stopping because of poor accessibility cost money. With OnSpot the conditions for just-in-time deliveries are vastly improved. The new OnSpot 012 is 14 kg lighter than its predecessor, producing a higher payload.
Reduced risk of accidents – increased reliability
OnSpot should primarily be used in a preventative capacity. Always accessible, OnSpot gives the driver increased reliability and reduces stress from driving on slippery roads. According to a research report compiled by Linköping Institute of Technology (Linköpings Tekniska Högskola), Sweden, and commissioned by Swedish insurance company Hansa Trafik, OnSpot reduces accident frequency for distribution vehicles by approx. 50%.
