Armaton 3000 XF
Armaton 3000 XF is a dropside locking pillar system for today’s modern, light trucks with a gross weight of up to 3.5 tons.
The unique 160º handle action and 37 mm dimension in open position simplify design solutions. The system is easy to use, durable and elegant – a natural choice if you do not need the extra flexibility offered by Armaton 4000 XF and Armaton 5000. Armaton 3000 XF is manufactured in anodised aluminium, which ensures minimum maintenance and weight-optimised assembly.

Easy to use
Armaton 3000 XF for light trucks is easy to use and durable, with a frame of anodised aluminium. Armaton 3000 XF is to all intents and purposes completely maintenance-free. The choice of material also makes the pillars lightweight.
Flexible mounting
The dropside locking pillar system is mounted directly onto the platform end/side. Locking flexibility is achieved with different types of platforms by means of different edge caps fitted on the adjoining dropside. Aesthetics have played an important role in the design, and Armaton 3000 XF is an attractive option on today’s modern light trucks.

Unique handle action and improved safety
A minimum of space is required when lowering the dropside thanks to the unique 160º handle, see figure.

The locking mechanism has a three-stage action to improve safety, see figure.
Stage 1: Locked position
Stage 2: The lock hook has not moved, so play has been taken up
Stage 3: The lock hook opens

The lock hook is spring-loaded so that, together with the wear plate, it takes up all the play in all directions between the pillar and dropside, see figure.

Replaceable handles
The handles are designed for the maximum possible safety. They are strong and stable during all normal usage, but are the weakest link if exposed to severe lateral strain. This minimises the risk of damage to the pillars, dropsides and platform.
Only the handle needs to be replaced, which can be done quickly and easily.
A special handle kit is available as a spare part, for easy replacement.
