Armaton 4000 XF Armaton 4000 XF is a platform pillar for today’s modern, light trucks with a total weight of up to 3.5 tons. The unique 160º handle action simplifies loading and unloading. The dropside pillar is easy to use, durable and elegant – a natural choice if you need all the advantages of flexibility and stability when building enclosed bodies. Easy to use

Armaton 4000 XF for light trucks is easy to use and durable, with a frame of anodised aluminium. Armaton 4000 XF is to all intents and purposes completely maintenance-free. The choice of material also makes the pillars lightweight.

Flexible mounting

Armaton 4000 XF is manufactured in two heights as a front side and a rear pillar. They are also available versions for vehicles with tail lifts. Armaton 4000 XF – a natural choice if you need all the advantages of flexibility and stability when enclosed bodies and need a weight-optimised solution. In addition to the actual pillars there is a wide range of fittings to cover most conceivable requirements. Aesthetics have played an important role in the design, and Armaton 4000 XF is an attractive option on today’s modern light trucks.

Unique handle action and improved safety Loading and unloading are simplified thanks to the unique 160º handle action, see figure.

The locking mechanism has a three-stage action to improve safety, see figure. Stage 1: Locked position Stage 2: The lock hook has not moved, play has been taken up. Stage 3: The lock hook opens.

The lock hook is spring-loaded so that, together with the wear plate, it takes up all the play in all directions between the pillar and dropside, see figure.

Replaceable handles

The handles are designed for the maximum possible safety. They are strong and stable during all normal handling, but are the weakest link if exposed to severe lateral strain. This minimises the risk of damage to the pillars, dropsides and platform.
Only the handle needs to be replaced, which can be done quickly and easily.
A special handle kit is available as a spare part, for easy replacement.
