Flexible underrun protection
VBG’s hinged underrun protection makes it easy and convenient to lift the protective beam up and down when necessary, for example, to reach a low, inset underslung coupling. The user-friendly design does away with diffi cult and dangerous work procedures. The underrun protection can be included as part of a fl exible system adapted for driving large bulk centre-axle trailers, and can be installed together with a drawbeam from VBG’s DB range.
The component parts are surface-treated with a zinc-manganese phosphatising process, plus ED treatment and topcoat to ensure the best possible corrosion protection. The hinged underrun protection is tested and approved in accordance with EU directive 70/221/EEC for all VBG’s protective beams.
Protective beams
VBG supplies protective beams made of either aluminium or steel. All the protective beams are supplied complete with bolt kit and plastic end fittings. The steel beams are available in different lengths for a variety of vehicle and frame widths.
