VBG’s hinged underrun protection makes it easy and convenient to lift the protective beam up and down when necessary, for example, to reach a low, inset underslung coupling.
The user-friendly design does away with difficult and dangerous work procedures. The underrun protection can be included as part of a flexible system adapted for driving large bulk centre-axle trailers, and can be installed together with a drawbeam from VBG’s DB range.
The component parts are surface-treated with a zinc-manganese phosphatising process, plus ED treatment and topcoat to ensure the best possible corrosion protection.
By using parallel brackets this creates more space for a centrally installed coupling when the protective beam is lifted up.
All combinations of VBG’s underrun protection comply with the dimensions and strength requirements in EU directive 70/221/EEC, including supplement 2006/20/EC. *
